• Bronski Beat’s keyboardist Larry Steinbachek has passed away at the age of fifty-six. The group formed in 1983 with Steinbachek’s band members, Jimmy Somerville and Steve Bronski and had hits including Smalltown Boy which was about growing up gay. (BBC)

• A teen boy’s dance to Meghan Trainer’s song Me Too has gone viral. The video which now has over 2.7 million views shows a boy who embraces his femininity while performing fierce choreography. While some have critiqued the boy, responses have been largely positive. (GSN)

• A George Michael mural has appeared in Sydney depicting the late singer holding a joint, an open bottle of poppers and wearing a rainbow scarf and a rainbow tinted halo. “Presenting ‘Saint George, Patron Saint of Parks at Night’ Remembering this lover & activist watching over us all”. (GSN)

• Catholic Bishop likens debating LGBT people to “arguing with an alcoholic”. Bishop of Portsmouth Philip Egan said: ““After a while, they won’t argue with you on grounds of reason, they just become furious and respond that way. There is something in our culture increasingly like that.” (Pink News)

• Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, has promised to make sure that trans prisoners serve their sentence in the prison based upon their gender identity. “I will make sure we look at it and we address it and we do right in recognising that trans rights are human rights and we need to make sure we are defending everyone’s dignity and rights in every way we can,” he said.
